I've installed my trial of Shaderlight, set it up in 64 bit max on my 64bit Windows 7 and when I export I get the error message : Unable to install Windows Service.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

Hello Chris,

The message you are seeing is down to permissions in Windows 7 not letting the licensing service install.

The easiest way round this is to go to the Start Menu, All Programs, Shaderlight and then right click on Shaderlight License Manager and Run as Administrator.

This makes sure the program has permission to install everything.
