Revolutions in rendering technology don't come along every day. We started the trend with dedicated rendering hardware. Now we're continuing it with software that is fast, smart and very, very clever.

We'll keep you updated on some of the key headlines, stories and coverage that Shaderlight gains around the world.

ArtVPS join forces with AMD at Siggraph 2008

12 August 2008

Exhibiting alongside technology partners AMD on booth #327, ArtVPS will be giving visitors an exclusive preview of Shaderlight, a physically based renderer that is set to revolutionise the way 3D artists work.

Shaderlight is an entirely approach to 3D rendering. By taking full advantage of the processing power available to it in both the CPU and GPU this progressive renderer uses the most efficient rendering techniques to deliver a fast and accurate final image.

It doesn't end here however; Shaderlight enables users to render HD quality images that are truly interactive - materials, textures, lighting, tone mapping and more can be perfected with real-time feedback on a fully rendered image.

"Traditionally the rendering process can be frustrating. The slightest alteration to a scene and all the artist can do is sit and wait for the entire image to re-render," said Michael Lawson, CTO at ArtVPS. "Shaderlight creates more than just an image. Each pixel is intelligent; it understands its relationship to the 3D world and everything that contributes to it, therefore allowing users to make key changes without the need to re-render."

Shaderlight removes the workflow hurdles that 3D artists have long endured. The ability to fine tune every detail right up to deadline to achieve the perfect image is set to bring creative freedom and increased productivity to studios everywhere.
