The Auto Update check box controls how Shaderlight tracks changes to your scene in 3ds Max to immediately show you the result of your changes.
| • | With the Auto Update box ON, before the scene is exported, Shaderlight continuously follows the changes you make in 3ds Max, and updates the rendered image. |

| • | If the Auto Update box is off before clicking Export, then Shaderlight will render a single image to completion. Changes in 3ds Max will not affect the Shaderlight render. |
| • | Un-checking the Auto Update box once a render has started will cut the connection between 3ds Max and Shaderlight. Shaderlight will finish the image it is rendering, but will no longer follow your changes in 3ds Max. |
| • | Checking the Auto Update box after a scene has begun to render will not restore the connection to Shaderlight. The scene must be re-exported to restore the automatic updates. |
