I can’t get the image position and the quality control sliders to work? What is the problem?

Hello rickmn,

Can you tell us which version of Shaderlight and which operating system and version you are using? If you are using Windows, it would also be useful to know which version of Internet Explorer you have installed.

If you are not using Shaderlight 2017 (just released today), that version includes a fix for the sliders not working on some versions of Windows with some versions of Internet Explorer. If you’re using an older version of Shaderlight, could you sign up for a free trial of Shaderlight 2017 and report whether or not that works for you? You can get the trial from our downloads page.

If you are already using Shaderlight 2017, then please let us know, as that would indicate that there are still some systems on which it isn’t working.

Many thanks,
Shaderlight support

My OS is windows 10 Version 1511 (OS build 10586.633)  I have Shaderlight 2016 (4.1.0) 64 bit.  I run firefox for the internet.

Have you had a chance to try a free trial of Shaderlight 2017 (5.0.0)? We believe that should fix the problem, and it would be useful to know if that is the case for you.

Thank you,

I will try the trial 2017 and let you know if it works.
It seems to be working.  But is it normal for a rendering to take almost over an hour to finish?  Plus it has speckled white dots on a few items. I am not too happy with the time factor.

I have tried shaderlight 2017 and things seem to be working ok.  In my last listing I have added more questions.  The length of time to do a rendering is my prime interest now.

Renders that take an hour or more aren’t unusual – it depends on the size you render at and the complexity of the lighting and materials in the scene.

If you can post any images of the results you’re getting, we might be able to make some specific suggestions. Or, if you can send the model to , we can take a more detailed look and try to help you optimise your render times.
