For some reason, when I upgraded to SU 2017, although I purchased a pro version of shaderlight, my shaderlight does not have the ability to use the higher resolutions of the pro version.  Only the trial version.  Please advise

Hello Skip,

Did you also install an upgrade from Shaderlight 2016 (or earlier) to Shaderlight 2017 when you upgraded your SketchUp? If you upgraded from an earlier version of Shaderlight without purchasing and activating an upgrade licence it will operate in the ‘free’ mode, which doesn’t provide the higher resolutions. If you need to purchase an upgrade, you can do so at our online store.

If that doesn’t help in your situation, please could you email us at and we will walk through some diagnostics steps with you to resolve the issue.

Hello,
I am having the same issue for the past year and it is very frustrating and I had given up.  But I want to get this to operate on my machine.  I had purchased the upgrade to SketchUp 16 on my new machine running Windows 10 last year and again this year.  I am almost certain that I even bought it TWICE if you check your records!  My activation code got accepted but the program still does not work.  It only leaves my trial version worthless resolution settings.  I would like to get the program working.  So if you can please tell me exactly how to get this to operate, I would appreciate it!

Hi Dave
It appears that you currently have a v3 Shaderlight license which doesn’t support SketchUp 2016.  If you want to run Shaderlight with this version you will need to purchase an upgrade license from our website.
