Ever since I upgraded this version, 2016 (4.1.0) for Windows 64, the Quality bar in Render Settings will not move. It does change per model and sometimes when I select a different Preset resolution. But its on its own, I cant control it. Is this a bug or do I need to try an reinstall?
Thanks,
Scott Dellinger

There was a bug that seemed to occur in certain versions of Windows / Internet Explorer, which we believe to be fixed in Shaderlight 5.0 and 4.1.1. Shaderlight 5.0 will require a paid upgrade for Shaderlight 4 users, but you can download the 4.1.1 installer for free here: https://artvps.com/dl/ShaderlightForSketchUp_411.msi I hope that helps, but please let us know if there are still problems. Hi I have just discovered this problem too, on my home PC. I run sketchup pro 2015 with shaderlight 3.2.0 at home. I have been rendering without problem since I paid for and installed both these software packages. Tonight, I installed sketchup make 2017 in order to convert a work file to a skp 2015 version, and then opened the file in skp pro 2015. All of a sudden shaderlight does not give me the option to shift the quality setting bar, also there are sliding bars missing from the colour pallette settings. Please can someone help urgently, as I need to run this render to assist my office workload, hence why I brought the file home. Thanks…. |

Ok I have fixed this by doing a ‘system restore’ and undoing the skp make 2017 installation, and my Shaderlight is working properly once more….....phew! I’d still be interested in hearing any observations on this. Like I say, I fired up my skp pro 2015 version and the shaderlight quality setting was frozen. I made no change to skp pro 2015 (that I was aware of) and the shaderlight license info still read “Pro License”. Cheers |

Hi, That is interesting – we weren’t aware that the installation of SketchUp 2017 by itself could trigger the broken sliders in previous versions of SketchUp. As an alternative temporary solution, you could try downloading a trial of Shaderlight 2017 (v5), which we believe fixes the problem. You can download the trial at: https://artvps.com/index.php/downloads/shaderlight/ You should receive an activation code for a 14 day trial by email. In the long-term, I’m afraid we don’t currently have any plans to issue an update for Shaderlight v3 to address the issue, as that version is out of maintenance now. Users with v4 licences can install the 4.1.1 update linked to above, but v3 licence holders will need to purchase an upgrade licence to run the latest version which includes the fix. Regards, |
