This is a maintenance patch that addresses the following:

Removed the the search for .Net Framework requirement for Windows 8 compatibility.
Fixed a crash on Mac when opening recently used scenes.

You will still need to do the following when installing on Windows 8:
Then when you first run the installer you will see the following message:

Click on the “More info” link and then you will see:

Choose “Run anyway” and the installation will proceed as normal.
