Take Snapshot gives the ability to save a snapshot of renders at selected intervals. This makes it possible to make comparisons between two or more versions of an image.

| • | The current rendered image will appear in a tab within the Shaderlight render window |
| • | To take a snapshot of the current image select the Take Snapshot option from the View menu in the Shaderlight window, or press Cmd ⌘-T |
| • | Each new Snapshot is placed in a new tab in the Shaderlight window |
| • | The tab bar of a snapshot shows a time stamp of when the snapshot was taken |
| • | Clicking on a tab will bring the snapshot associated with that tab to the front of the Shaderlight window display |
| • | The currently selected snapshot and its tab can deleted by selecting Close View from the View menu in the Shaderlight window, or press Cmd ⌘-W |
| • | If the currently selected view is that of the main render, the Close View option is grayed out |
