Art Professional material is supplied to illustrate the potential of a physically based material optimized for Shaderlight. It WILL NOT be in this form for the commercial release of the product, both in terms of technical content and more importantly in user interface. Our aim is to bring the benefits of a physically based rendering pipeline with easy to use and easy to understand material creation.
Art Professional material doesn’t currently support displacement mapping. The workaround is to assign a Composite material to the geometry with a standard Max material as the base layer and the Art material as a second layer. The base Max material then has the displacement mapped to it.
Texture maps render darker when used with Art materials than when used with 3ds Max materials. Increase the Output Amount in the output roll-out of the texture to compensate.
