How to set up Shaderlight in 3ds Max

Launch 3ds Max 2008/2009 64-bit.
From the menu bar click Customize and select Configure System Paths from the drop down menu.

Select the 3rd Party Plug-ins tab.
Click Add

At the bottom of the window set the Label to “Shaderlight” (without quotes).
Browse to the plugins folder in the Shaderlight installation path.
Open the folder for the version of Max that you are running. (Max2008 or Max2009)
Double click artshader.dlt in this folder to add the path to 3ds Max.
Click OK to confirm.
Restart 3ds Max.
From the Utilities Panel in 3ds Max, click More...
Double-click Shaderlight Exporter

Shaderlight Exporter will now appear as a button in the Utilities tab of the Max Command Panel.
Once your scene is set up and you are ready to begin, click Export to launch Shaderlight™
