What can you do for Shaderlight?

Since the inception of the project we have talked to many people in the 3D business and beyond. We have built Shaderlight based on their views and their insights. We have also explored a number of technology options, some fruitful, some dead ends and we now have the core of what we think is a unique product.

 

Shaderlight v0.1 is the next stage in the conversation. Simply put, we want to know what you think of Shaderlight. We want the big picture – are we on the right track with this approach? We want to know the details – does Shaderlight have the functionality you need? We want your input – what improvements can we make to the work flow or the interaction design?

 

We know it’s not there yet. We know there are big omissions, speed issues and bugs. Some of the issues are documented here, for others we want your undiluted opinion, so they aren’t mentioned. We make no apologies for this, what's important is your feedback. We don’t want to produce a renderer that we think is clever but doesn’t actually improve the life of real users doing real work. We want to find out now so we can change things. We want to add the must have functionality, speed things up where it matters most and address your concerns.

 

We hope that you like what you see. We hope that you share our vision and, most of all, we hope that it fires your imagination so that you can help us make Shaderlight the best it can be.
