ART Shines Light on AR350 Ray Traced Rendering Chip at Graphics Hardware 2001
Company Will Discuss Architecture of World’s Only Dedicated Ray Traced Rendering 3D Graphics Processor at Graphics Hardware 2001
Advanced Rendering Technology (ART) will discuss its latest 3D graphics processor, the AR350 chip, at Graphics Hardware 2001. Dr. Daniel Hall, co-founder and strategic advisor at ART, will present the architecture of the AR350 chip that is used in ART’s latest RenderDrive RD5000 rendering appliances.

The AR350 is the world’s only ray traced rendering graphics processor. Uniquely, it uses physically based ray traced rendering to produce photorealistic images of stunning quality. The chip features two processor cores, each with a dedicated ray geometry co-processor and a fully flexible vector parallel programmable-shading co-processor.

Graphics Hardware 2001 will take place at the Wilshire Grand Hotel & Centre (formerly Omni Los Angeles), on 12th and 13th August during Siggraph 2001 in Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Hall’s presentation “The AR350: Today’s Ray Trace Rendering Processor” takes place on Sunday 12th August.
