The scholarship, which is to be awarded once per academic year, “was established to encourage the advancement and development of the art of architectural visualization,” says CGarchitect.com company President Jeff Mottle.“Architectural visualization is one of the fastest growing CG markets and to date has seen very little public exposure or support. There is some phenomenal work being produced by the next generation of architectural visualization artists, and in recognition of this work, CGarchitect is partnering with ART VPS Ltd. to ensure that those who work to promote and push the limits of the industry will be rewarded for their efforts.”

The recipient of the scholarship, to be awarded on March 1, 2003, comprises a $2000.00 USD cash award and the donation of a PURE rendering card valued at $3699.00 US. The scholarship will be awarded to the student who demonstrates outstanding achievement in the field of architectural visualization and has developed new and/or original techniques to present architectural works though digital means.
