ART VPS Ltd. has released a new version of software for its PURE and RenderDrive 3D rendering solutions. This latest version of software, to run on ART VPS’s unique hardware-accelerated rendering devices, delivers a range of features that enhance image quality and extend ART VPS’s lead in high quality 3D rendering productivity.
Numerous customer-led improvements have been made, enhancing 3D rendering productivity for 3dsmax, VIZ, and Maya users of PURE and RenderDrive, including the RP-SSI (Selective Secondary Illumination) shader that delivers unique user-selective control of indirect illumination within a scene. The new software has begun shipping to PURE and RenderDrive customers.
ART VPS helps architects and industrial designers to improve their design communication through the use of Virtual Photography. Virtual Photography allows computers to create images of uncompromising realism from CAD data. Generating images in this way can significantly reduce the costs and time required to bring a new product or building design to completion.
New features in this software release include:
· RP-SSI shader for user-controllable secondary illumination
· Primary / Secondary visibility controls
· Exposure gain controls
· Shader compiler improvements including faster shader compilation, more efficient use of memory, support for more complex shading networks, and faster rendering of the compiled shaders
· Extended support for additional Maya shading nodes including UseBackground
· Support for third-party rendering managers for Maya, including Muster and Smedge
The new version of software will be delivered automatically to PURE and RenderDrive users who have a current Software Update Subscription. Other users should contact ART VPS for pricing.
