ART VPS Ltd and Man and Machine have announced that they are expanding their distribution partnership for ART VPS’s range of virtual photography 3D solutions, adding Belgium and The Netherlands to the existing agreements covering the United Kingdom. This deal will make the PURE solution developed by ART VPS widely available in these new territories and will ensure the highest level of service and support for customers.
“I am very pleased to be growing our relationship with Man and Machine in this way”, said Loic Delor, VP Sales for ART VPS. “Their huge skill and experience in the design market ensures the best service and support for dealers and customers of ART VPS products.”
“We are excited by the opportunities that PURE presents”, said Jan De Ville, Managing Director for Man & Machine Benelux. “PURE is a natural complement to our existing product range, and delivers a visualization breakthrough for the industry.”
PURE is ART VPS’s low-cost, small form-factor 3D visualization solution that brings the company’s award-winning 3D rendering technology to all visualization and animation professionals in the architectural, industrial design and animation industries. PURE renders images up to 16X faster than software-based ray tracing and can simultaneously deliver higher quality images through its silicon chip accelerated ray tracing architecture. Installed within a windows-compatible graphics workstation, PURE brings the power of a render farm onto a designer’s desktop.
PURE is supplied with fully integrated plug-ins for Autodesk’s VIZ, Discreet’s 3dsmax and Alias|Wavefront’s Maya applications. In addition, PURE supports the RenderMan Language and can be used with any RenderMan compatible application.
ART VPS’s PURE PCI card is based on unique hardware and software that utilizes physically accurate 3D rendering methods to produce convincing lighting, realistic textures, and lifelike reflections on a variety of materials. With software-based rendering, generating high quality images requires massive computing resources or long production times. Using ART VPS’s unique technology, PURE is able to deliver photographic images far more productively and more cost effectively than software-only tools.
Leading architecture and industrial design groups in Europe and North America use ART VPS products to deliver photographic quality images from their CAD data. These virtual photographs improve design communication, helping to reduce the time and cost of getting new projects to market. Customers include Bombardier Aerospace, Nikon Corporation, Procter & Gamble, and Shell for industrial design and manufacturing; HDR Architecture, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Walt Disney Imagineering and WAT&G for architectural visualization.
