ART VPS Ltd and Man and Machine Sweden AB have announced that ART VPS has selected Man and Machine to manage its reseller channel and distribute its powerful 3D visualization products in Scandinavia. Man and Machine Sweden AB is owned by Europe’s leading CAD distributor, Mensch und Maschine GmbH, and this deal builds on the group’s existing relationship with ART VPS for distribution of its products in the UK and Benelux regions. Man and Machine will add ART VPS’s innovative PURE and RenderDrive systems to its existing range of products for designers.
Man and Machine will showcase PURE and RenderDrive at 3D Festival, taking place in Copenhagen 7-10 May 2003. 3D Festival is the leading European event for 3D digital professionals. At the event, Man and Machine will demonstrate how ART VPS solutions can dramatically improve image quality and the efficiency of creating images from 3D CAD data. Highlights will include showing how Ford Motor Company is using virtual photographs created with ART VPS tools to reduce the costs and time associated with launching new vehicles.
“Man and Machine bring great experience and knowledge of the industrial design and architectural markets across Scandinavia,” said Loic Delor, VP Sales at ART VPS Ltd. “Their capability and expertise in the design market ensures the best service and support for dealers and customers of ART VPS products.”
“We are delighted and excited to be partnering with ART VPS for the distribution of their products,” said Marcus Bengtsson, Managing Director at Man and Machine Sweden SB. “The powerful PURE and RenderDrive products complement our existing solutions and extend them to offer the ultimate in high quality and productive 3D visualization.”
Man and Machine Sweden will be recruiting and training highly qualified dealers for ART VPS products within Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. Dealers who already offer ART VPS solutions in the region include:
Denmark - 3D Connection, Walter Vestergaard, Tel: +45 32 96 98 62 Web: www.3dc.dk
Sweden - Talking Pictures AB, Mona Gustavsson, Tel: +46 11-24 65 00 Web: www.talkingpictures.se
Leading architecture and industrial design groups in Europe, North America, and Asia use ART VPS products to deliver photographic quality images from their 3D CAD data. These virtual photographs improve design communication, helping to reduce the time and cost of getting new projects to market. Customers include Bombardier Aerospace, Nikon Corporation, Procter & Gamble, and Shell for industrial design and manufacturing; HDR Architecture, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, and WAT&G for architectural visualization. ART VPS customers in Scandinavia include Well Technologies in Denmark and Hocus Focus in Norway.
PURE is ART VPS’s low-cost, PCI add-in board 3D visualization solution that brings the company’s award-winning 3D rendering technology to all visualization and design professionals. PURE renders images up to 16X faster than software-based ray tracing and can simultaneously deliver higher quality images through its silicon chip accelerated ray tracing architecture. Installed within a windows-compatible graphics workstation, PURE brings the power of a render farm onto a designer’s desktop.
RenderDrive delivers the ultimate performance for high quality 3D rendering, and is the choice of the most demanding studios. A networked appliance, RenderDrive offers shared access and minimum image rendering latency to revolutionize design workflow.
PURE and RenderDrive come with fully integrated plug-ins for Autodesk’s VIZ, Discreet’s 3dsmax and Alias|Wavefront’s Maya applications.
ART VPS products are based on unique hardware and software that utilizes physically accurate 3D rendering methods to produce convincing lighting, realistic textures, and lifelike reflections on a variety of materials. With software-based rendering, generating high quality images requires massive computing resources or long production times. Using ART VPS’s unique hardware technology, PURE and RenderDrive are able to deliver photographic quality images far more productively and more cost effectively than software-only tools.
