Once a Network License has been installed, the Shaderlight Pro features are activated by default. However, if all available network licenses have been checked out of the RLM License Server, then Shaderlight will revert to the Free version.
When there are no licenses available, other users can give up their license by returning it to the RLM License Server, thereby releasing it for your use.
Releasing a Network License
To give up a license (and return it to the RLM License Server for re-use):
• | In SketchUp, select Plugins->Shaderlight For SketchUp->Release License |
• | Once released, Shaderlight will immediately revert to the Free version. You do not have to restart SketchUp, but you should close the Render Settings and Light Editor windows |
• | Shaderlight will remember that you have released your license, even if you restart SketchUp. To enable the Pro features again you will have to use Plugins->Shaderlight For SketchUp->Acquire License |
Acquiring a Network License
To get a license from the RLM License Server when one becomes free:
• | In SketchUp, select Plugins->Shaderlight For SketchUp->Acquire License |
• | If the server has a license available, Shaderlight will immediately enable the Pro features. You do not have to restart SketchUp, but you should close the Render Settings and Light Editor windows |
• | If there are no licenses available on the server, you will be notified. You can either wait for a license to come free, or ask a colleague to release their license |
Note: the Release License and Acquire License menu options are only visible if you have a Network License installed on your computer |
