ARTVPS launches new RenderServer DT

ARTVPS today announces the latest edition to its successful range of rendering solutions with the launch of the RenderServer DT.

Incorporating AMD dual core processor technology and the very best in rendering software, the RenderServer DT is built to the same high specification as the original RenderServer 64-bit mental ray® solution. But, in response to customer feedback, has been designed specifically as a desktop device.

Featuring a simple push button front panel display, RenderServer DT has a web-based user interface to enable fast set up and configuration. ARTVPS’ unique RP-MR File Manager, with the drag and drop workflow, allows users to view and manage multiple rendering jobs from any workstation on their network.

The simplest way to render with mental ray®, RenderServer DT also offers users the option to connect up to three ARTVPS RayBoxes to the device via PCI express. This provides rendering professionals with access to increased power from ARTVPS‘ own dedicated raytracing solution, in addition to the standard mental ray® capability, to suit any requirements.

Brian Tyler, CEO at ARTVPS, said: “We are continually developing our solutions to meet the increasing demand for high quality, 3D image production in a range of industries. Building on the success of RenderServer, our new desktop solution has been developed to cater for users who may not yet have the requirement for a renderfarm full of servers, but still want a simple and cost effective way to increase their rendering power”.

RenderServer DT comes complete with two 64-bit mental ray® stand alone licences, ARTVPS’ easy to use render management software and photorealistic material library. As an independent mental ray® platform, multiple users can render to RenderServer DT using their preferred 3D application thus providing seamless integration into any production workflow.
