Graham Wylie, Executive Chairman

Graham Wylie founded ARTVPS Limited in 2002. He is a qualified accountant with many years experience in growing technology companies. Before establishing ARTVPS, Graham was CFO, and then CEO, of Xaar plc - an inkjet printing technology company based in Cambridge. Over ten years, Graham grew Xaar from a venture capital backed start-up to a LSE listed company, with a market value of over £150 million.
 
Before Xaar, Graham was CEO of Immediate Business Systems (IBS) based in Milton Keynes, a company he started with a technology partner in 1980. IBS was a pioneer in the field of portable computing and its systems are still in use today in many data capture applications throughout the world. IBS listed on the USM (forerunner of AIM) in 1996 and was acquired in 1980 by Allied Signal Corporation based in Atlanta, USA.
 
In addition to his role as Chairman of ARTVPS, Graham is also non-executive Chairman of U4EA Technologies Ltd. Based in Bristol, UK and Freemont, California, U4EA develops advanced products for the telecoms and internet market. The company employs 60 staff at two locations and is privately financed.

Brian Tyler, CTO
 
Brian Tyler joined ARTVPS as CEO in November 2003 with an extensive range of industry experience. Prior to ARTVPS, Brian was CEO of Cambridge Animation Systems (CAS), developers of Animo - the 2D cartoon and animation software designed for film and TV animation. At CAS, Brian was closely involved with sales and contract negotiations with key studios. In 1998 he helped the company win a Queen’s award for export achievement.
 
Brian was also responsible for setting up SoftImages Europe, which is now owned by Avid. As MD, he launched their innovative 3D animation software, before the company was acquired by Microsoft in 1994. Brian has also been involved in the introduction and development of software tools for visual FX and animation for a number of UK companies in which he has had pivotal technical and marketing roles.
 
Brian has a degree in Cybernetics and Computing from the University of Kent and has spent some time researching and developing tools for visualising architectural models and a formal language to express rules about the organisation of objects in space.
 
Michael Lawson, Director of Product Development
Michael Lawson's career spans over 20 years in the CG industry. From early days in the visualisation of future products with British Telecom, Michael then spent 4 years as a product consultant with Alias Research in Toronto, before returning to the UK as founder and director of Spike Ltd.
 
Spike create unique software and digital content for the entertainment and toy market. Clients included Disney Video, Moving Picture Company and toy giants such as LEGO and Hornby. Spike was co-creator of Scalextric Sport World, a breakthrough product that brought advanced motor racing technology to the much loved slot racing favourite.

Thomas Vaughan, Non-Executive Director                                                               
 
In 1966 Tom Vaughan and his brother Oliver co-founded and built up the company that became Juliana’s Holdings Plc – the world’s largest Discotheque Entertainment group of its time. Following the £30 million sale to Wembley in 1989, Tom became an Executive Director of Wembley Leisure Ltd. This was followed by the formation of Gander Holdings Plc, a London based property company specialising in the acquisition and development of prime residential real estate. Tom is currently a Director of several companies and has been an investor in ARTVPS since 2002
